Boys and girls 6-11 years of age are invited to join the Boulevard Upward Sports Basketball League (113 Grand Boulevard) The registration fee is $30 until October 31st and $35 after that date. Each child will receive a t-shirt and snacks and beverages will be provided at practices and games. Practices will take place on Friday evenings and games will be on Saturday mornings. Evaluation day will be Saturday December 13th 9AM to 12 noon. The season will run from January 9th to March 28th. We look forward to another great season!!

Brother and sister Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn, both composers, traveled to Italy in the 1830s and wrote music about what they saw and experienced there. Join Director of Education and Community Engagement Dr. Julia Grella O'Connell in a morning program of stories, music, and crafts inspired by their journeys, then listen to the Philharmonic rehearse! Free for children 4-16 and their caregivers.

Speed puzzling condensed into a mini tourney featuring solo, pairs, pairs relay and team events!! Grab some friends and make a couple more! Everyone gets the exact same puzzle wrapped up, our announcer says "3,2,1 - Go!!" and the fun begins! Get your puzzle open and pieced together before anyone else to win the trophy and bragging rights. Procedes to benefit the NY Jigsaw Puzzle Association, working in your community to bring cognative improvement and community building through puzzling together.

Contradictions Dessert Dance, 31 January 2026
On Saturday, 31 January, Hands Four Dancers of Ithaca (HFDI) sponsors its sweetest event of the year, a "Dessert Dance" with the amazing Contradictions: Rick Manning (fiddle, mandolin), Dave Davies (guitar, trombone), Tom Hodgson (guitar), and Tim Ball (fiddle, foot percussion), 7-11 pm at CSMA, 330 ML King, Jr/ E. State Street, Ithaca. They will play a glorious mix of New England, Irish, and French Canadian contra dance music (7:00-10:00 pm) plus globe- and time-spanning couples dances: Swedish hambo, waltz (including Venezuelan), hot 1930s swing, schottishe, polka, maybe even tango (10:00-11:00 pm)! A panoply of terrific callers, Vikki Armstrong, Casey Carr, Pamela Goddard, Katy Heine, and Nancy Spero, will teach each contra dance. Beginners are encouraged to come early to learn the basic moves; the steps are simple and other dancers will help.
No need to bring a partner, but please bring clean, soft-soled shoes to protect the floor and a finger-food dessert (fresh fruit or non-sweet snacks are welcome) to share at the 10 pm potluck.
Admission: $12 HFDI members; $15 nonmembers; $8 students; 12 and under free. $12 annual membership provides discounted admission at all HFDI dances, door prizes, and participation in a member-run community non-profit. More info on Facebook and www.hands4dancers.org

Knights of Columbus breakfast buffet includes pancakes, potatoes, scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, orange juice, tomato juice, and fruit cup. Mimosas are available to adults for a donation. The price for the buffet is $15 for adults, and $12 for children under 12.

Sunday Feb. 1st Bingo Families Together PTA Fundraiser at Liquid State Brewing Co. 2-4pm, Adult participation is $10 and Children $5. Prizes include Buffalo Street Books arcs, Ithaca Coffee gift cards, Laurel O’Brien Jewerly and LOTS of fun kids prizes! All proceeds will go towards funding our Spring Tiger Club Transportation, snacks, and supplies!

The Mentor-Student Program seeks volunteer mentors to work one on one with school-age students of various ages who benefit from having a positive adult role model in their lives. This opportunity involves training, support, and meeting with your student twice a week after school. This is a win/win experience for both the student and the mentor as you learn and grow with each other. Students are waiting and your support is needed now. MAQ is a musical ensemble based in Ithaca, NY comprised of some of the area's best seasoned jazz and Brazilian-music musicians. Its members have individually toured throughout the United States and Europe, in venues from concert halls to clubs, performing everything from classic and modern jazz to Brazilian bossa and folk music.
MAQ will play the 1st and 3rd Mondays.
